The Estevan Area Literacy Group Inc. (EALG) is a
not-for-profit organization formed in 2007. There are fourteen board members who guide the organization.
As a registered charity, the EALG focuses on programs for English as a Second Language, and family and early childhood literacy.
The organization is developing programs related to workplace, adult, and aboriginal literacy.
FALL WINTER PROGRAMS and EVENTS
Learn English with your child and interact with other families. The Family Language Circles focus on parent and children to build and practice their English language skills together. Every Second Saturday. Contact the South East College 306-637-4610
Come join us at the Estevan Family Resource Centre November 10th from 10:30am-11:15 am, for some sing a longs, crafts and read a louds. For children 3-5 years of age. Parent/caregiver must be in attendance
Here are some upcoming programs we are doing with the Souris Valley Museum!! Sign your children up for some fun reading, crafts and experiments.

Monday - Friday: 8:00 am- 4:00 pm

What we Offer:
Are offered to children from grades 1-8. These are offered in the schools or virtually. Our programs offer story reading and the children get involved in group discussions, activities, crafts and physical Activities.
This is offered to Children ages 4-12 during school breaks and over the holidays. (Easter and Christmas). With themed events we engage children with reading, arithmetic, science, history, crafts and physical activities.
We are Family
These are stand alone events. The events bring families together and shows parents new, up to date ways to engage with their children and help their children build reading, literacy, comprehension, social and language skills. We welcome newcomer families who speak English as a second language.
These programs are designed for parents and their children between 3-5 years of age. We focus on essential skills , learning shapes, numbers and letters as well as socializing and sharing. We read books, have discussions, crafts and sing a longs.
